Mashatu Recreation Reserve is named “The Land of the Giants” and is house to at least seven of Africa’s giants. These embody:
African Elephant – The most important land mammal
Lion – The most important cat in Africa
Eland – The second largest antelope
Giraffe – The tallest animal on the earth
Ostrich – The most important hen on the earth
Kori Bustard – The heaviest flying hen on the earth
Baobab Tree – Essentially the most iconic tree in Africa
These giants alone make Mashatu properly price a go to, however there’s an 8th and vitally necessary large that hardly ever will get talked about, important to the operating of our distinctive reserve and to creating lasting reminiscences for our visitors – Our 235 workers!
